The four bets on every match
- Match result
- Home win, draw, or away win. Soccer's main bet has three outcomes rather than two, because matches can end level.
- Total goals
- Both teams' goals added together, over or under the number the sportsbook posts — usually 2.5, which makes it two goals or fewer against three or more.
- Both teams to score
- Yes if each side scores at least once, no if either is shut out. Who wins, and by how much, does not matter.
- Handicap
- One team starts with a head start in goals, to even out a mismatch. Sportsbooks also list these as Asian handicaps.
Where soccer prices tend to be off
