How Parlae makes money
One rule: the book with the highest real, multi-book de-vig edge wins the ranking. Referrals are applied after ranking — they never reorder it.

What's a referral link?
When you click Bet on [Book], some books pay us a one-time bounty or small revenue share for the signup. We append a tracking code so the book can attribute the click. That's it.
Does this change which book Parlae shows as best?
No. The "best edge" calculation uses our de-vig engine per Methodology. Referral data never feeds back into rankings.
Why are some "Bet on …" buttons disabled?
We geo-gate outbound links. Offshore and crypto books are blocked for US visitors — not US-regulated. The EV line still shows; the link is gated. Override your region in My Parlae after signing in.
Are any books paying for placement?
No. Books cannot pay for higher ranking. Estimated revenue-per-click varies (DFS ≈ $20–30, US books ≈ $90–150) but RPC is not in the ranking formula. The live track-record lets you verify the ranking is real.
What click data is kept?
One row per outbound click: book, surface, a SHA-256 hash of your IP (never the raw IP), anonymous cookie id, coarse country, user-agent, referrer, and EV at click time. Rows are auto-purged on a fixed retention window; conversion attribution survives but click PII does not.
FTC disclosure?
The short version appears next to every CTA: "Parlae earns a referral commission when you sign up through some books. It never changes our ranking — best edge always wins." This page is the long version.
