Iowa launched sports betting in August 2019. The state's 6.75% tax rate is the lowest of any state with a competitive mobile market.
An in-person registration requirement was removed in January 2021, opening the mobile market to remote sign-up. Handle grew substantially after.
All major operators are live. Retail sportsbooks operate at the state's 19 casinos. Minimum age is 21.
