Ohio launched both retail and mobile sports betting on January 1, 2023 — at the same moment statewide. The market launched with a wide license pool, allowing all major national brands to operate.

Retail sportsbooks operate at casinos, racinos, and select pro sports venues. The state initially set a 10% tax rate but doubled it to 20% in July 2023.

Minimum age is 21.
