How it works

  1. 1

    Roll and pick

Five rounds, each rolling a kind of legend: an era, a field, or both. Take one who fits the roll for your team of five. Two rerolls.

  2. 2

    Courses decide the scores

Every legend has six made-up ratings: driving, irons, short game, putting, nerve and course IQ. Each major's course weighs them its own way, so a long hitter loves one week and a great putter the next.

  3. 3

    Play the majors

Four majors against 19 history teams, 72 holes each, all five scores counting on every round. Win one and it goes on the record; win all four for the Grand Slam.

Questions

What is Legends Draft Golf?
A free golf draft game with famous people from history. Draft a team of five golfers from presidents, scientists, pop stars and athletes, then play a season of four stroke play majors against teams of history's greats.
How does the draft work?
Five rounds. Each round rolls a kind of legend: an era, a field, or both, like Born in the 1800s or Music. Take one legend who fits the roll and add them to your team. You get two rerolls a run.
How are the majors decided?
Each major is 72 holes of stroke play against 19 history teams, and all five of your golfers' scores count on every round. A stronger team shoots lower, the course moves things (one major rewards long driving, another putting and touch, another the links and course IQ), and every round carries some luck. The lowest total wins; a tie for the lead goes to a playoff.
What is the Grand Slam?
Winning all four majors in one season. It takes a great team and some luck: most good teams win one or two.
Can I challenge a friend?
Yes. When the season ends you get a share card and a link. A friend who opens it gets the exact same five rolls and the same majors, so the two seasons compare directly.
Are the ratings real?
No. The ratings and blurbs are made up for fun. It is a parody game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by anyone in it, or by any tour or championship.
Do I need an account?
No. The game is free, needs no sign in and runs in your browser.
