The Parlae Survivor Pool: free to enter, $500 to the last one standing

Pick one NFL team to win each week. Use each team once. Lose and you are out. 500 spots, first come.

Join the pool on Sleeper

Runs on the Sleeper app, free account. Week 5 picks lock game by game. The next kickoff is Sunday, October 11 at 9:30am ET.

How it works

  1. Each week you pick one NFL team to win its game outright. No spreads, no scores, just the winner.
  2. If your team wins, you are alive for next week. If it loses, you are out.
  3. You can use each NFL team once all season. Pick the Eagles one week and you never get the Eagles again.
  4. Picks lock at that game's kickoff. Miss the deadline and it counts as a loss.
  5. Last one standing takes the prize.

The whole game is the once-per-team rule. The safe pick this week costs you that team in a week you might need it more. Every Tuesday, once the week's games are final, @parlaeio posts how many survived, how many went out, and which team took the most entries down.

The prize

$500, put up by Parlae, paid by PayPal or Venmo to the last one standing. If the last few all go out in the same week, they split it. Nobody pays in, so there is no pot and nothing to lose but the bragging rights.

Common questions

  • Is it really free?

Yes. There is no entry fee and nothing to buy. Parlae puts up the prize. Joining the Sleeper pool is the entry.

  • Can I still join after the season starts?

The pool runs on Sleeper, so whether a new entry can still get in depends on Sleeper's join window for the pool. Picks lock at each game's kickoff.

  • What happens on a tie?

Sleeper grades a tied game under the pool's settings. If the last entrants standing all go out in the same week, the prize splits evenly among them.

  • How is the winner paid?

By PayPal or Venmo within 14 days of confirming who they are. We announce the payout publicly on X.

  • What if the pool fills up?

The pool holds 500 entries. If pool 1 fills we open pool 2 with its own $500 and post the new link here.

Official rules

  1. Free to enter. No purchase, no deposit, no payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. Parlae is not a sportsbook and this pool involves no wagering.
  2. Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and contractors of Parlae are not eligible.
  3. Entry is by joining the Sleeper pool through the invite link on this page. One entry per person. The pool holds 500 entries, first come.
  4. The pool runs from Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season through Week 18. Sleeper grades every pick under the pool's settings: straight-up winners, one strike and out, each team once per season.
  5. The prize is $500, paid by Parlae to the last entrant standing. If every remaining entrant is eliminated in the same week, the prize is split evenly among those eliminated that week. If more than one entrant survives Week 18, the prize is split evenly among them.
  6. The winner is contacted through Sleeper and, where available, the X account they joined with, and must respond within 14 days. Payment is by PayPal or Venmo within 14 days of confirmation. Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative to a cash prize.
  7. Parlae may disqualify an entry that uses more than one account, that is not a real person, or that breaks Sleeper's terms. Parlae's reading of these rules is final.
