How the dynasty values work

Dynasty value is age curve times current level times role security. It is the PPR points a player is projected to score above a replacement player at his position over the rest of the 2026 season and the next 4, each later season counted at 80 percent of the one before. 584 players had a rate this week.

Current level: a weighted mean of his market-implied PPR points per game (151 players had one), his 2026 points per game and his 2025 points per game, pulled toward a fringe starter's level when the sample is small. Scoring comes from Sleeper's public season stats.

Age curve: each future season moves that level along his position's aging curve, which peaks at QB 27 to 32, RB 24 to 25, WR 25 to 28, TE 27 to 29. Young players climb toward the peak; players past it fall.

Role security: 0.55 plus 0.45 times his snap share over his team's last three games, measured against a full time share for the position (200 players had snap data). Without snap data, his depth chart spot sets it.

Replacement: the first player past what twelve dynasty rosters hold. In one quarterback leagues that level is 14.0 points a game at QB, 6.4 at RB, 6.9 at WR and 7.8 at TE. Superflex moves the QB line to 12.2. TE premium adds half a point per catch to tight ends against the same line.

Rookie picks: a 2027 pick is worth what the same numbered player of the last two rookie classes is worth today (63 players from 2026, 94 players from 2025), less one season for the wait.

Common questions

  • How does this dynasty trade calculator value players?

Each player's value is the PPR points he is projected to score above a replacement player over the rest of this season and the next four, with later seasons discounted. His current scoring is moved along his position's age curve season by season and scaled by his share of his team's snaps. Nothing is an opinion or an expert ranking.

  • How are rookie draft picks valued?

A 2027 pick is worth what the same numbered player of the last two rookie classes is worth today, less one season for the wait. An early first (picks 1.01 to 1.04) is 231 in one QB leagues and 231 in superflex.

  • What do the superflex and TE premium switches change?

Superflex moves the replacement quarterback much further down, because every team starts two, so starting quarterbacks gain. TE premium pays tight ends half a point more per catch, so tight ends who catch a lot gain the most.

  • Is this different from the redraft trade analyzer?

Yes. The redraft analyzer values only the rest of this season, on market-implied points. The dynasty calculator looks five seasons ahead, so age matters: a young receiver can be worth more here than a better scorer who is 30.

  • Why can't I find a player?

A player needs two games this season or four last season to have a rate, and a dynasty value above zero in at least one setting. Kickers and team defenses are not valued.
