Buying NFL gear and cards as a gift
Gear: pick the team first. A fan of one club wants that club's logo, and a rival's jersey stays in the drawer. If you know their favorite player, check that he is still on that team before ordering a jersey with his name; trades and signings change rosters during the season.
Sizes: a hat, a beanie or a card box needs none. For a hoodie or a jersey, check the store's size chart, since cuts differ by maker and style.
Cards: a retail box (a Value Box, hanger, blaster or mega box) is sold at Target, Walmart and Amazon and opens in minutes. A hobby box is sold through card shops and the maker's site, and is the bigger gift for a football fan who already collects.
Timing: USPS recommends mailing by December 17 for Ground Advantage delivery by Christmas (lower 48). Order a custom name and number jersey first; it takes longer to make.
Questions
- What is the best gift for a football fan?
- Something with their team on it: a jersey of their favorite player, or a team hat when you do not know their size. For a fan who collects, a football card box or a rookie card of their favorite player.
- What do you get a football fan who has everything?
- A rookie card of their favorite player, like Fernando Mendoza's 2026 Topps Flagship Football #301, or a hobby box of this season's football cards. Both are personal, and neither duplicates gear they already own.
- Where can I find gear for my NFL team?
- Every NFL club has an official team store with jerseys, hats, hoodies and kids' sizes. The team list on this page opens each of the 32 clubs' store pages.
- When is Black Friday 2026?
- Friday, November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026. Team gear and retail card boxes are the usual Black Friday markdowns.
