What changes in this view

Half-PPR pays half a point per catch, so it sits between the two other formats. It is the usual compromise format: receptions still count, but a player who catches a lot of short passes does not leapfrog one who scores touchdowns.

The order below comes from half-PPR drafts, so pass-catching running backs give back part of the boost PPR hands them, and touchdown-heavy players gain a little.

How to draft draftable players this season

Half PPR pays half a point for each catch. It is the compromise format, and it is common precisely because it splits the difference: receptions still count, so pass catching backs and high volume receivers keep part of their advantage, but a player who catches many short passes does not leapfrog one who scores touchdowns.

Read against the PPR board, the differences are informative. A player who falls when you switch from PPR to half PPR earns a large share of his value from catch volume; a player who rises earns it from yards and touchdowns. Comparing the two pages is a cheap way to see where a player's scoring actually comes from.
